We are happy to announce that Cricket, our Palomino gelding from the Sanger group, was adopted on Saturday. He will be living at Shadow Glen Stables in Sacramento.
In order for him to trailer more comfortably in the heat, Kelly, his new owner, decided to haul him at night. She arrived to pick him up at 10 pm.
Cricket will join a very well-cared for group of horses that ride along the Sacramento River and teach beginners about horse ownership and riding. Dr. Katy Byrd ( our CCSPCA Veterinarian ) will get to see him often, as she works at Shadow Glen about every 8 weeks. His primary veterinarian is Diana Stolba of Loomis Basin Equine.
We are excited to share a few photos of him when ready to go and when leaving with Kelly. They both look so happy.
