Treats to Keep Your Pets Cool

pupsicle-CCSPCAWith our scorching summer heat it’s popular to enjoy a nice frozen sweet treat. However, frozen desserts humans consume are not healthy for your pets. Instead of sharing your treat with your pet, you can make them their own summer frozen treat! These treats are designed specifically for your pet and are healthy!

Pupsicle Frozen Banana Treats
Yields 16 Treats
Ingredients:
4 cups plain yogurt (greek or regular)
2 tablespoons peanut butter
3 ripe bananas mashed

Instructions:
Blend all the ingredients to a puree in a food processor.
Pour into 4 ounce plastic cups.
Freeze until firm.
Pop the treat out of the cup and watch your dog enjoy!
Store the treats in the freezer for up to 2 weeks

Catsicle Goodie Treat
Yield 15 Treats

Ingredients:
Plastic Cups or Ice Cube Tray
1 5.5 ounce can of your cat’s favorite wet food (smooth, not chunky)
Catnip or cat treat optional*

Instructions:
Mix wet food and optional ingredients together. Mixture should be the consistency of cookie dough.
Fill plastic cups ¼ full with mixture. If using ice cube tray, fill wells completely. Freeze overnight.
Run some warm water on the bottom of cup or tray to remove treat & watch your cat enjoy.
