Tosha was adopted from CCSPCA back in April 2007. Unfortunately, she was surrendered back to us in April 2017 due to landlord issues. In addition, Tosha had unknown mobility issues in her hips (possibly arthritis or hip dysplasia).
Our local Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno took Tosha and Chico, another senior German Shepherd that was also an owner surrender, on May 1, 2017. Chico, who is 8 years old, also had serious hip issues and is mostly blind. Their hope is to take both dogs to the Thulani Program, whose mission is to provide hospice care homes for senior and terminally ill German Shepherds.
We hope to get more photos of these two when they reach their forever homes, but for now, Tosha is living the good life! Here she is enjoying her foster mom’s pool while she waits to go to the Thulani Program.
