Brian Calhoun – Volunteer of the Month

September-Volunteer-of-the-monthWe’d like to spotlight another adult volunteer who makes a huge difference at our animal center – Brian Calhoun.

Mr. Calhoun has been a dedicated volunteer since January 2015. He is here every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for approximately four hours. He even volunteers at our off site adoption events on weekends! On a weekly basis he provides 12 to 15 hours of valuable assistance.

His favorite thing about volunteering at the CCSPCA is helping with the adoption process. He enjoys telling possible adopters about the personality and temperament of the animal, in hopes to find them a forever home. He also enjoys his day-to-day tasks of bathing and walking dogs. He began volunteering because he has a special place in his heart for animals.

He recently retired from his full time job as an educator at Fresno City College and City Councilmen. In his spare time he enjoys scuba diving. For the past 30 years he has been traveling the world searching for “the perfect dive.”

Thank you, Brian, for your time and support!
