Our mission is to prevent cruelty to animals and promote the quality of life of all creatures through rescue, protection, placement, education, leadership and good example.

What are the hours of operation for the Education department?
The Education Department schedules events such as off-site events, outreach education, or tours of our facility.  As such, we do not have a set schedule. Please contact us if you would like to schedule an event. You may call us directly at (559) 233-0115 or email us at education@ccspca.com.

What do you need to do to volunteer here?
You will first need to attend our volunteer orientation.  If you are under the age of 18, you will have to have a parent or guardian with you at the orientation and during the time you volunteer. We also ask that you bring a valid ID or driver’s license to the orientation. Orientations typically last 3 hours and are held one Saturday and one Wednesday a month.

How can I foster?

You can fill out an application and complete the foster care contract to get started. You can mail your application/contract or come by in person Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM at the Ruthelaine’s Thrift Store to drop it off. For further questions, please contact Sherry at 559-485-5335.
