Our mission is to prevent cruelty to animals and promote the quality of life of all creatures through rescue, protection, placement, education, leadership and good example.

Why does it cost so much to reclaim my pet?

State and local ordinances have fees and fines that must be paid when a pet is reclaimed. The only portion of your reclaim fee that comes directly back to the CCSPCA is the boarding and vaccination fee.

Why can’t you quote my reclaim price over the phone?

The owner must be present to correctly ID their animal and then we can verify how much the correct animal will be to reclaim.

Why can’t I adopt back my own pet?

Pet responsibility means that we provide for our pets, including reclaiming them. If you need assistance to accomplish the requirements included in an adoption such as spay/neuter or microchip, please let us know as we would like to help you accomplish this with our available programs.
