Ranger Needs a Home!!!

Dog Adoption Fresno Ranger

On February 26, 2013 at approximately 10:30 am, someone left a male black Labrador tied to a tree next to the CCSPCA Small Animal Hospital with a note stapled to its collar.

The note read that the owner was no longer able to take care of the animal due to the economy and that the dog was eight months old. The dog was placed on an abandonment investigation hold in an attempt to locate the owner; however an owner was not identified. The CCSPCA normally requires a $40.00 fee for a dog that is turned in. This helps pay for the costs of board and care at the shelter. Due to the fact a fee was not left, the shelter had to cover the costs for this unfortunate Lab.

It is sad that the owner chose to illegally abandon the dog, rather than bring him in and share all of his wonderful attributes with us, as he is a sweet and loving dog. Shelter staff took turns walking and playing with this very friendly Labrador. It turns out he loves to play fetch, loves to run, loves children, and loves all the attention he was receiving from everyone involved. He is very attentive, alert and very possibly a pure bred Labrador Retriever, however there is no real way for us to determine that.

The CCSPCA is currently looking for a good home for this lovable, playful dog, which has been nicknamed “Ranger” due to his obvious instinctive hunting skills.

If you are interested in adopting “Ranger” please contact the CCSPCA at (559) 233-7722. You can refer to animal # A19241544.

You can also contact Grace Appleton at grace@ccspca.com. With a little luck and your help, we look forward to finding Ranger a good and loving home.

Happy Home for the Holidays Adoption

Posted on: December 24th, 2012 by CCSPCA

Adoption PetsmartTracy Vargas knew that to keep a happy cohesive household that she would have to do a meet and greet first before bringing home an new animal. That is why PetSmart is such a wonderful adoption location, because it allows for meet and greets to take place.

Tracy brought in Bella, introduced her to Peppy, and she liked Peppy. Now Peppy has a new home, a new girlfriend, and a loving arm to be tucked under. We are thrilled for Peppy and his family fortune for the Holidays!

Princes Leia

Princess Leia, ID#334368, has been with us awhile and needs your help to ensure she has a successful adoption.

She was found on the Fresno Fairgrounds, couldn’t resist the good smell of the fair food, then with no one reclaiming her, she’s been up for adoption for a very long time. Princess Leia is a very sweet adult Chihuahua that bonds very quickly to people. Her happy wiggles are infectious, so much so that people start wiggling with her when they stand by her cage!

Please help by sharing Princess Leia with everyone you know so we can send her to her forever home!!
