Jack, a 3 year old tan and white Pit Bull that was allegedly abused by his transient owner, has completely healed and is now with his permanent family!
In June 2017, the CCSPCA received a report of a man beating his dog in downtown Fresno. The report included a video taken showing the suspect picking the dog up and throwing it back to the ground, as well as punching the dog. One of our Humane Officers responded to the area and attempted to locate the suspect and dog. After speaking with the suspect, our officer instructed him to take her to the dog, which the suspect had left tied up under a freeway overpass. The Officer found the dog in substandard condition and decided, based on the video and the condition of the dog, to seize the dog known as Jack.
Jack was transported to the CCSPCA and was examined by our caring medical staff. Jack displayed several injuries to his head and body. He was cared for and his wounds treated. Jack has completely healed and has been adopted!
We will be submitting this case to the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office requesting criminal animal cruelty charges be filed on the suspect.
