Volunteer Spotlight

In the spirit of this season of giving, it’s important for us to remember those who selflessly give back to the animals in our care. Our volunteers truly are the backbone of our daily happenings – without their support and can-do attitudes, we would be at a true loss.

One of the coolest parts about our volunteers is the diversity of those called to serve. We have volunteers between ages 8 and 74 and bring their own unique abilities and talents. The main goal of our volunteer program? To engage the hands, hearts, and minds of the community to help animals.

Pictured here are some members of our “500+ Club.” These individuals have logged over 500 hours of service within their tenure, and truly illustrate the variety of tasks that can be done.

If you’re interested in joining forces with these people and becoming a volunteer at the Central California SPCA, here are four easy steps to follow:
1. Fill out the online volunteer application
2. Attend orientation
3. Attend training
4. Pay $10 enrollment fee (covers the cost of supplies and your super cool t-shirt!)
