The Central California SPCA offers a variety of benefits in addition to the compensation you receive. Your eligibility for most benefits will depend on your employment classification.
Medical Plan
CCSPCA offers medical coverage for our regular, full-time employees.
Dental Plan
Our Dental Plan utilizes a preferred provider organization (PPO) network.
Vision Plan
CCSPCA provides vision assistance to our regular, full-time employees and their dependents. Through a network of eye care providers, employees can receive eye exams and reduced prices on frames, lenses or contacts.
Life Insurance
Base life insurance is provided at one time annual pay at no charge to the employee. Additional coverage for life insurance (supplemental) may be purchased through payroll deduction and this policy is portable. Life insurance for your spouse or children is also available.
Voluntary Insurance
Additional supplemental insurance may be purchased through payroll deduction and this policy is portable. The following insurance coverage is available through Colonial:

401k Retirement Plan
401k Plan – You are eligible to participate in the plan after one year of service from the date of hire. You can make pre-tax contributions to the plan subject to the limit specified by the Internal Revenue Service.
Pension Plan – You become a Participant in the Pension Plan when you have completed 2 years of Service and work at least 1,000 Hours of Service in the 12-month period from your date of hire. Each year that you work at least 1,000 hours and are employed on June 30th, CCSPCA will contribute 5% of your annual base pay to your account.
Direct Deposit
Employees may sign up for Direct Deposit to their checking and/or savings account.
Service Awards
Upon completion of five years of employment, employees are recognized for their years of service with an award and ceremony. Each five year milestone is recognized to reward and thank employees for their continuing service to Central California SPCA.
Paid Time Off
If you are classified as a benefit eligible regular employee, you will accrue vacation and sick hours. The rate of accrual depends on the number of hours you are paid each pay period and the years of service you have with CCSPCA.
