Paige is a 2-year-old tri-color female Pekingese who arrived at our facility with a prolapsed eye. Her eye was protruded out and was being taken care of by the staff at our Small Animal Hospital until they could perform her needed surgery. Unfortunately, her surgery was costly and we needed to raise the necessary funds before it could be performed.
The adoption and foster care team posted a plea on Facebook for donations for Paige’s $160 surgery. Within two days Paige’s surgery was covered! An anonymous and awesome donor paid for her surgery in total.
Paige had her surgery and made a quick recovery. She felt silly with her cone on but didn’t let it affect her “Diva-Ness”. She had the most adorable wiggle in her walk and always had her head held high. She was placed in foster care during her recovery and received the royal treatment.
Right before our adoption team was going to load her on our mobile unit to be taken to the Scottish Faire at Kearney Park, a nice couple came in to look for a new pet. They immediately fell in love with this sweet, friendly and loving Paige.
Paige is being loved by her new parents and flaunts her wiggle-walks in her new “furever” home!
