Tell us about your animal. What kind of home (busy, mellow) do they currently live in?
I filled out the intake form with a lot of information. I will try to find an email to send it to you.
Phoenix is very good and affectionate with people he knows. He goes to doggy daycare twice a week and is very good with other dogs. He was raised with cats and is good with them too. He is good with kids;he was raised with teenagers and is great with them. He is big and too exuberant with small children so I worry about him knocking them down. He hasn't, but could if they were very small. He is very affectionate and loves to be petted.
He doesn't destroy anything and is good when left home, left out freely. He never has accidents and is well potty trained. He listens to some commands.
He is a protective dog and is hard for me to handle sometimes. He is hard to walk and take places. He can guard special treats or wet food. He did bite me once a few months ago. It only happened the one time, with him warning me first, and has never happened at any other time. He loves toys and playing tug of war. He is fixed and up to date on shots. Happy to answer any questions. I am due for a surgery and have to rehome him right away

HOW PET REHOMING WORKS WITH CCSPCA

The animals featured on this page are being rehomed by pet owners in the Central Valley who live specifically in Fresno County and the surrounding counties of Kings, Madera, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, and Tulare.

These animals are not in the care of CCSPCA, so all arrangements to meet/adopt must be made between potential adopters and the pet owner. Note: Central California SPCA is not responsible for the pets on this page. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating with pet owners, especially when acquiring veterinary records and/or other necessary information.

PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT rehome strays, fosters, rescues, abandoned, or found animals.
