Noah’s Friends Animal Sanctuary Rescue

On Monday, August 29, 2016, The Central California SPCA confiscated over 140 dogs and 3 cats from a Fresno County no-kill rescue organization after being alerted to the suspected neglect situation.

The CCSPCA served a search warrant and found dogs at Noah’s Friends Animal Sanctuary in Orange Cove suffering from a variety of medical conditions and lack of basic care. Many of the dogs are extremely emaciated and are suffering from parasites, as well as the possibility of diseases due to neglect. The living conditions were deplorable, with many of the dogs living in small crates with no food or water.

The animals were removed and transferred to the CCSPCA where they are being thoroughly examined and will receive any necessary immediate medical care by the compassionate veterinarians and medical staff. The case has been presented to the District Attorney for filing.

This vast number of dogs coming into the shelter is overwhelming and the CCSPCA is seeking help in funding the medical treatments and supplies needed to save as many of these dogs as possible. Many of the animals will require weeks of treatment and would do best in a foster home environment.

To help support the CCSPCA and its efforts to help these and other abused, neglected, and homeless animals, please consider making a donation, becoming a foster parent, or volunteering your time and talent. Donations can be mailed to CCSPCA, 103 S. Hughes Ave. Fresno, CA 93706, or on-line via PayPal on our website ccspca.com, or in person.
