It’s that time of the year again! The bees are starting to swarm and we’ve received our first call @ the Central California SPCA to have officers respond to a bee swarm.
Unfortunately, our officers do not handle these types of calls. We have to refer folks to bee keepers. Bees are precious these days and contribute to our lives in the valley by pollinating our crops.
If you have a swarm near your home, please use caution, and get your family and pets indoors. More than likely they will move on. However, if they appear to be setting up a hive near your home, please contact a bee keeper. Let the pros handle it. Most keepers can safely remove them without harming the bees or your family.
