Our annual Flapjacks for Fidos and Felines pancake breakfast was a great success. We sold over 225 tickets! The proceeds from this event raised over $5,100 in ticket sales, raffle tickets, and donations. All proceeds will go towards our low cost, low-income spay and neuter fund, Snip N’ Chip. This year we partnered with Applebee’s Restaurant and were able to host the event at their West Shaw Avenue location. They cooked all the food which included pancakes, bacon, potatoes and eggs. They also provided coffee, water and orange juice as a choice of beverage.
Our staff volunteered their time for this event. Their job was to serve customers, bus tables, and sell raffle tickets. We had volunteers who helped set up games and the education table. Our adoption mobile unit swung by and had adorable pets available for adoption. We had 7 adoptions at the event! Throughout the morning we raffled off a myriad of prizes including Starbucks gift cards, two sets of lawn chairs donated by Pelco, a dog lover’s basket and two Seresto flea/tick collars, and much more. Congratulations to all the winners of the raffle prizes.
