In recognition of National Day of the Horse (December 13th), our Junior Volunteers gave their time to learn more about equine care and make treats for the horses in our barn.
Some of the fun and educational activities enjoyed by the youngsters included the following:
- horse activity sheets
- equine care presentations (by Juniors)
- adoption horse board
- horse treats: molasses cookies (flour, molasses, carrots – baked into cookies)
- barn visit
- horse breeds bingo game
