29 Dogs Rescued from a House in Fresno County

In December 2015, we received a call from a gentlemen stating that his mother had recently passed away and left behind all of the dogs she cared for. He would not be able to take care of them all and asked if we would be able to help find homes for all of them. A team consisting of our Animal Control Officers and Humane Officers rescued 29 dogs from her home. All the dogs were unsure of all the new faces and scared, making it difficult to catch them all. It took a few hours for our team to rescue all 29 dogs. They were all brought to our adoption center, received care from our staff, and were put up for adoption. Our rescue coordinator also sought out other options for rescue with our Pet Placement Organizations. All the dogs have now been adopted or sent to another animal rescue in hopes to find their forever homes.
