HOW PET REHOMING WORKS WITH CCSPCA

The animals featured on this page are being rehomed by pet owners in the Central Valley who live specifically in Fresno County and the surrounding counties of Kings, Madera, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, and Tulare.

These animals are not in the care of CCSPCA, so all arrangements to meet/adopt must be made between potential adopters and the pet owner. Note: Central California SPCA is not responsible for the pets on this page. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating with pet owners, especially when acquiring veterinary records and/or other necessary information.

PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT rehome strays, fosters, rescues, abandoned, or found animals.

  • Description/Contact Information: Personality
Sandy is a sweet, affectionate, and clever dog with a big heart. She's an excellent companion who's full of energy and enthusiasm. Sandy loves being around people and cherishes every moment of cuddle time she can get. Growing up as a country dog, she enjoys being outdoors during the day and settles quietly in her kennel in the garage at night.
    Health and Grooming
Sandy has been spayed and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including rabies. She's had no health issues, and Sierra Veterinary Hospital in Auberry has provided all her veterinary care. Her complete medical records are available.
    Sandy's History
In February 2024, our neighbor's Australian Shepherd/Lab/Husky mix had twelve puppies. The father is believed to be a pit bull-type dog. Sandy and her sister Hiedi caught our attention from the start, and we brought them home when they were eight weeks old. The rest of the litter found homes with other families. Sandy and Hiedi grew up playing with their mom and the neighbor's two large, friendly dogs. Unfortunately, Sandy developed Littermate Syndrome, leading to aggression towards Hiedi and, more recently, our smaller dogs-mostly over food, toys, or affection. Because of this, Sandy is now kept separate from Hiedi and the smaller dogs.
