We’ve recently started a new social media spotlight, “CCSPCA Rescue Tails.” These rescue stories are positive day-makers; we love sharing the power of compassionate teamwork in action! Here’s a Rescue Tail that was recently highlighted on our Facebook and Instagram:
This is Timber A061013, a 4 year old Husky/Malamute male. Timber loves people and is as sweet as can be. However, he kept failing his dog tests for showing dominance to the other dogs – which created an obstacle when trying to find a rescue or foster family.
One of our own Animal Care Assistants, Courtneay, really believed in Timber and worked tirelessly to network him to the right people. Through Courtneay’s hard work, Timber went on his way to Scooter’s Pals Rescue in Grass Valley yesterday (September 19). Timber will be neutered to try and reduce his dominance issues and will start training to rehabilitate his behavior with other dogs. Timber is a special guy with a lot of love to give and we are so happy for him!
