#GIVINGTUESDAY is a national campaign created in 2012 to spark a day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season, following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It celebrates charities, individuals, schools, businesses and other community organizations who come together to support charitable causes, and encourages everyone to participate in a national day dedicated to giving back.

Adopting a pet and providing a loving environment, is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have and is a major priority here at the CCSPCA. Having recently won the grand prize for the 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, we learned that by providing minimal adoption costs in our community, our adoption numbers and pet lives saved soar!

For this coming holiday season, funds generated through #GIVINGTUESDAY will assist us in reducing adoptions fees (which include spay/neuter services) as we launch our Home for the Holidays adoption campaign. Last year, we set a record of over 750 lives saved and we intend to break that record for 2014.

In addition, CCSPCA is participating in #GIVINGTUESDAY as a way to raise awareness for homeless cats and dogs at a time when many people are already focused on giving. We are hopeful that residents in the greater Fresno community will factor in our homeless pet population when they think of giving. By giving to the CCSPCA, donors help give animals the gift of life, hope, and happiness!

So visit our website at ccspca.com on December 2, click on the DONATE button, and become part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.
