Angelo, the severely burned German Shepherd, is doing well and healing nicely. Several weeks have passed and Angelo’s burn wounds are slowly healing. Our loving staff is applying Silver Sulfadizine which is a sulfa based salve that prevents and treats infections in second and third-degree burns. Angelo has been a great patient and is keeping in good spirits. His family visits often and Angelo is always happy to see them.
Angelo and his family still need your help. They are unable to afford the medical treatment needed for Angelo and are asking this supportive community for financial donation. If you’d like to donate to Angelo’s care, please go to ccspca.com and click the “donate” button. Be sure to indicate Angelo’s name in the comments. You can also make a donation over the phone by calling 559-233-7722 ext 107 or 108. Cash donations are also accepted by bringing them by our Administration building Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Here is a reminder of Angelo’s story: On July 1, 2016, a home was devoured by flames and in the backyard was Angelo, a beloved male German Shepherd, who is the family pet of the Van’s. Angelo made it out of the fire alive, but is severely burned. He received emergency care from Veterinary Emergency Services before coming into our care. Since July 6, 2016 he has been well taken care of by our hospital staff.
